DockPanel DockPanel

Sites, Docker apps, databases, email, monitoring, security, backups, and Git deploys — one install, one binary, zero cost.

DockPanel is a lightweight, open-source, Docker-native server management tool written in Rust, designed to package everything a server needs into a single static binary.

The main features of this tool include:

  • Ultra-Lightweight Footprint: Unlike heavy traditional panels, DockPanel runs as a single static binary with no runtime dependencies (no Node, Python, or PHP required). It uses only 23 MB of memory for both its API and agent services, and just 109 MB at idle (including the database)—significantly lower than competitors like CloudPanel (250 MB), Plesk (512 MB), or cPanel (800 MB).

  • Rapid, Dependency-Free Installation: The control panel can be installed on a fresh server in under 60 seconds (typically around 47 seconds) with a single command, requiring no pre-configured package repositories or runtimes.

  • One-Click Application Templates: It comes pre-packaged with 148 templates (including WordPress, Postgres, Grafana, n8n, and Immich) that configure SSL, reverse proxies, and isolated networking automatically in one click.

  • Git-to-Production Deployments: Developers can push code directly to production with atomic deployments featuring symlink swaps, automatic branch previews, and one-click rollbacks if a deployment fails.

  • Default Security & Hardening: Security features are built directly into the core rather than sold as add-ons, offering ModSecurity Web Application Firewall (WAF), Fail2Ban, per-image CVE scanning with deployment gating, and one-click system hardening.

  • Native Monitoring & Alerting: It includes HTTP, TCP, and DNS probes, incident timelines, public status pages, and integrations to route alerts directly to Slack, Discord, or PagerDuty.

  • True Open Source (No Up-Sells): Distributed under the AGPL v3 license, it has no commercial company behind it, no investors, no telemetry, and no paid tiers or usage limits.
